A Letter From Leslie
Merely A Mist was born from a desire to create space for a deeper life with God.
We create Bible studies, retreats, teaching, and other spaces where people can slow down, open the Word, listen to the Spirit, and respond to God. Spaces where Scripture is more than something we study. It becomes truth we encounter, wrestle with, obey, and allow God to use to form us.
I believe people are hungry for more. More than information about God. More than moving quickly through another passage or checking another spiritual box. There is a deeper life with God available to us: a life of communion with Him, rooted in truth, shaped by His presence, and lived with an awareness that these ordinary days carry eternal weight.
That is what Merely A Mist exists to make room for.
Our lives are a mist. May we spend them seeking what is true, knowing God deeply, and becoming fully alive in Him.

Why The Name
Our life is merely a mist.
James 4:14 says it plainly: "You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."
Our lives are brief. Our days are numbered. And that truth is an invitation to live awake. To know God deeply, walk closely with Him, and give ourselves to what lasts.
Everything Merely A Mist does grows out of that one, sobering, freeing truth.

Our Mission
Slow down. Open the Word. Meet God.
We build spaces where that can happen. Bible studies that go deep. Retreats that make room to listen. Teaching that invites you to wrestle with Scripture and respond to it. Partnerships that carry the same invitation to believers around the world. Writing that carries it further still.

What We Do

Intentional spaces to step away from the noise. Seek God, listen to the Spirit, engage Scripture, pray, and respond to what He is doing. Alongside others doing the same.
Scripture & Teaching
Bible studies and teaching that move beyond information into encounter. For churches, conferences, retreats, and gatherings. Scripture we wrestle with, obey, and let God use to form us.
Global Ministry
Partnering with believers and ministries around the world to create culturally meaningful spaces for biblical teaching, prayer, encouragement, and deeper communion with God.
Writing & Resources
Studies, devotionals, articles, and teaching that carry these same invitations beyond the room. To slow down, seek truth, listen to God, and respond to Him.

Whisper + Fire
A one-day retreat to listen. Ten to five thirty, with room to seek intimacy with God and hear what He is saying. Open to men and women.

What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God, revealing who He is and how He calls us to live. We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God by grace through faith.
We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active in the lives of believers, forming us into the likeness of Christ and empowering us to live in obedience, communion with God, and wholehearted participation in His work in the world.
